Overview #

The Settings module in RetailzPOS Back Office allows you to configure Tax, General Settings, Tender, Price Level, Barcode Settings, and Employee Commissions.

Tax Settings #

Tax Settings are available to set up your store’s sales tax. With RetailzPOS you will have the ability to create Five
Taxes.

Select Setting #

Select Settings from your store’s back office.

Select Tax #

Open the dropdown and select Tax.

View the Five Tax Levels #

View the available Five Tax Levels in the store.

Set Default Tax #

Slide the button to set a tax as the default.

Confirmation #

Select YES to confirm or NO to cancel.

Deactivate Tax #

Tap the slide button to deactivate a tax.

Edit Tax #

Hover over the tax and select the Green Edit Icon.
Input the Tax Name and Percentage (%).
Click Submit to save changes.

Note: On the first login, the system directs you to Tax Settings to ensure taxes are correctly configured before sales begin.

General Settings #

#

Select General Settings #

Navigate to Settings > General Settings.

Set Timezone #

Select your correct timezone from the dropdown.
Click Save.

Note: If the timezone doesn’t sync to the POS, you’ll need to update it on the POS to ensure accurate reports.

Below Cost Feature #

Enable this to allow selling promotional items below their purchase cost.

Show Purchase Item in Descending Order #

Enable this to list scanned items in descending order on transactions.

Age Check #

Configure Age Check #

Go to Settings > General Settings.
Select Age Check.

Set Age Requirement #

Select the required age from the dropdown.
Input a sales message.
Toggle Default Age on.
Click Save.

Tender Setup #

Select Tender #

Navigate to Settings > Tender.

Add New Tender #

Select Add.
Input Tender Name and Tender Type.
Click Submit.

Note: You can add, edit, or delete tenders anytime. Tenders with sales history cannot be deleted but can be made inactive.

Price Level #

Configure Price Level #

Go to Settings > Price Level.
Select Add.

Input Price Level Details #

Price Level Name
Price Level Percentage (%)
Price Level Amount ($)

Save Price Level #

Click Submit to save.

Note: Price levels with sales history can’t be deleted but can be made inactive.

Barcode Settings #

Select Barcode Setting #

Navigate to Settings > Barcode Setting.

Configure Barcode Scanner #

Select barcode types: UPC-E, UPC-A, EAN.
Choose the barcode scanner settings.
Click Save.

Note: Ensure barcode settings are identical across the back office, POS, and mobile app to prevent scanning errors.

Employee Commissions #

Configure Employee Commissions #

Go to Settings > Employee Commission.
Select Add.

Create Commission Package #

Input Package Name.
Set Commission Percentage (%).
Select employees for the package.
Click Save.

Note: Employees can only have one commission package per department. Packages with sales history cannot be deleted but can be deactivated.
